Who We Are

Founded in 2000, the Rome-Floyd County Community Kitchen began with a handful of participants and a small budget. Today, we serve hundreds of neighbors each week through meals, hygiene services, and community pantry support.

Our doors are open to anyone experiencing food insecurity in Rome and Floyd County.

Our Mission

To provide a daily nutritious meal for the unemployed, working poor, elderly, mentally and physically challenged, and homeless in Rome and Floyd County, by providing food obtained by donation and served by volunteers. In this manner, the true spirit of communion, that of sharing God’s gifts with God’s people, can be carried out in a caring and non-judgemental atmosphere.

Every day, our kitchen opens its doors to serve more than just meals. We provide nourishment, dignity, and essential services to members of our community who need them most. Through our Sponsor a Day of Hope program, individuals, families, and businesses can help make that possible.
