Who We Are
Founded in 2009, the Rome-Floyd County Community Kitchen began with a handful of participants and a small budget. Today, we serve hundreds of neighbors each week through meals, hygiene services, and community pantry support.
Our doors are open to anyone experiencing food insecurity in Rome and Floyd County.
Our Mission
To provide a daily nutritious meal for the unemployed, working poor, elderly, mentally and physically challenged, and homeless in Rome and Floyd County, by providing food obtained by donation and served by volunteers. In this manner, the true spirit of communion, that of sharing God’s gifts with God’s people, can be carried out in a caring and non-judgemental atmosphere.

Showers and laundry access. A grant from the Atrium Health Floyd-Polk Foundation allows it to be open 4 days per week.
WEEKEND FEEDING BAGS
Weekend Bags provide our guests with easy-to-prepare, shelf-stable foods to help sustain them through the weekend.
